A Commitment to Responsible Stewardship

For decades, Washington Grade School District 52 has been dedicated to maximizing every tax dollar and ensuring that Lincoln Grade School serves students as long as possible. The district has carefully maintained and adapted the building to extend its lifespan, making the most of available resources while continuing to provide quality education.

The results of this careful stewardship are evident:

  • The newest grade-level classrooms in use today were built in 1971, over 50 years ago.

  • The newest specialty classrooms, including art and music, have been in use for 45 years.

While these spaces have served generations of students, time has taken its toll. Despite the district’s best efforts to maintain Lincoln Grade School, the building’s aging infrastructure, safety concerns, and outdated facilities now present significant challenges.

As we look to the future, it’s time to invest in a modern learning environment that meets the needs of today’s students while continuing our commitment to financial responsibility and efficient resource management.
